About Us

Introduction

GRID Council is a Section 8 non-profit company registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It is committed to undertake and support population, hospital and laboratory based research to generate indigenous evidence and collate global research insights for the promotion of human health and development. 

Our Mission

To promote embedment of scientific rigour in societal and institutional ecosystems and in individual pursuits, in resource constrained settings and beyond, for wider benefit of human-kind and accelerated development.

Our Vision

To attain higher levels of global health and equitable development through evidence generation, engagement, capacity building, implementation and innovation for impact.

Objectives

  • To organize, lead and support implementation of effective global health and development initiatives adapted to the local context
  • To create a group of scholars that can lead, organize and train future researchers in health and developmental studies for wider societal benefit
  • To provide a platform for expression of research innovations and think-tanks
  • To promote intellectual freedom, transformative ideas, and empowerment through capacity building initiatives
  • To support strengthening of health and development efforts undertaken by government and other philanthropic agencies
  • To foster resilient communities against disasters and other challenges to human development through improved preparedness and response
  • To generate and disseminate knowledge and evidence for stakeholder awareness and utilization, and for sustainable development
